Workers were repairing the showroom at Rocky Top Jeep on Monday
after thieves took four cars from inside by driving through the
glass wall at the front of the dealership. The dealership was open
Monday, but the owners declined to comment on the incident.
KODAK — A passing motorist spotted thieves running from the smashed front entrance of the Rocky Top car dealership on Winfield Dunn Parkway early Saturday morning, but they had fled with stolen cars before police arrived.
An incident report on the break-in at Rocky Top Chrysler Jeep Dodge shows the witness called 911 shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday, and told police he saw three people running through the front door and front window, which had been damaged.
