'Tories are meant to promote being an entrepreneur': self-employed still cut off from state aid

The list of winners from the Budget appears to be long. Home movers, first-time buyers, furloughed workers and the self-employed received incentives or new pots of money.
But among the giveaways are those who slipped through the cracks. There were also many who lost out, including those hit by tax hikes. Freezes to planned rises to personal allowances will also be punitive.
Here, we meet some winners and losers from Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s announcement – and others who question the logic behind some of his grand plans.
