Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles (File photo) MANILA - The Office of the Press Secretary (OPS) is tracking the achievements of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s administration during its first 100 days. Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles issued the statement during the "Laging Handa" public briefing program, as she noted that Marcos' priority is to find solutions to the country's problems and not to brag about his administration's accomplishments. "Kami po 'yung mga tumitingin ng aming mga (We are the ones tracking our) accomplishment for the first 100 days," she said. Cruz-Angeles said the objective is to determine whether the information dissemination on Marcos' activities, policies, and programs is "clear" and "fast enough." The delivery of message is "so far, so good," Cruz-Angeles said, noting how her office has adapted to change. "So, so far, nakikita ko (I notice) that the teams are getting more efficient as the days go by. And so far sa tingin namin is nakakaresponde kami ng mabilis sa ating Pangulo (I think, we are able to immediately respond to the needs of the President)," Cruz-Angeles said. She said the issuance of Executive Order (EO) 2, which reorganizes the OPS, has helped rationalize the functions of her office. "We're still finding our way most of the time pero nakikita na natin 'yung mga duty natin (but we already know our duties). With Executive Order No. 2, kasi medyo na-rationalize na 'yung mandato ng opisina at naka-focus kami sa Presidente at sa pagbibigay ng mensahe niya (our mandate has been rationalized and we are now focusing on the President and the delivery of his message)," she said. EO 2, inked by Marcos on June 30, gives OPS the mandate to supervise the operations of state-run television stations People's Television Network and Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation, radio station Radyo Pilipinas, and news wire agency Philippine News Agency. Under the EO, the supervision of Radio Television Malacanang is now under the Presidential Management Staff, while the Philippine Information Agency is controlled by the Office of the President. Cruz-Angeles encouraged the public to monitor the official Facebook page of the OPS, as well as of the Office of the President, to keep them updated on the activities of the administration. "People have to be informed. Bahagi po ng kanilang karapatan o constitutional right ng mga tao kung ano ang ginagawa ng kanilang gobyerno. So, nagpapasalamat po ako dahil ang taumbayan mismo ay nagpa-participate sa ating mga plataporma kung saan tayo naghahayag ng ganitong klaseng impormasyon (It is their constitutional right to know the government's activities. I thank them for participating in the platforms where we disseminate information)," she said. Cruz-Angeles, in an interview with Radyo Pilipinas on Wednesday, said her office is set to release an accomplishment report on the first 100 days of the Marcos administration. (PNA) }
