A 25-year-old Guatemalan man's body was found hours after he was reported to have drowned in Lake Berryessa, officials said Monday.Witnesses told dispatchers that Marcos Salvador Grijalva Pocasangre was last seen around Sunday around 4:30 p.m. at the Oak Shores Day Use Area part of the lake trying to swim from one side of the cove to the other, the Napa County Sheriff's Office said.Pocasangre's body was recovered around 7 p.m. about 15 feet from McKenzie Ridge, the sheriff's office said. The water in that area is around 12 feet deep. No signs of trauma were evident.The sheriff's office said Pocasangre was visiting family in San Pablo at the time.This is the second drowning at Lake Berryessa within the past nine days, the sheriff's office said. The last person to have drowned was Billy Dy, 22, of San Jose, on June 18. He was at Pleasure Cove when he drowned. Last year, there were six drownings over a three-month span in 2020, the sheriff's office said. Six of the last eight drownings were swimmers.
