Off-Duty LAPD Officer Returns To Court After Brandishing Weapon During Valencia Road Rage Incident
An off-duty police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) appeared in court Tuesday for charges of brandishing a firearm during a Valencia road rage incident last year.
Georgeta Buruiana, 38, faces one felony count of brandishing a firearm at a person in a motor vehicle, said Ricardo Santiago, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
On Dec. 14, 2019, Buruiana, an off-duty Los Angeles police officer, allegedly brandished the weapon at a motorist who made a U-turn in front of her while they drove near Rye Canyon Road and The Old Road, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
