Obituary: Liam Connellan, management expert who came to lead Ibec forerunner just as we joined the EEC and economic fortunes improved

Liam Connellan, who has died at the age of 87, was the former director-general of the Confederation of Irish Industry, which later merged with the Federation of Irish Employers (FIE) to become the Irish Business and Employers Confederation (Ibec).
