Authorities in Texas arrested over 100 people over the weekend during the "Go Topless Jeep Weekend" on the beaches in Galveston County. Every year thousands of Jeep enthusiasts meet up on Bolivar Peninsula to take the tops off their Jeeps and drive around on the beach.
As of Sunday morning, the police made 151 arrests, with most of the infractions being for public intoxication. Officials said that they nabbed 12 people for drunk driving. The Galveston County Sheriff's Office expected things might get out of control and were prepared to deal with the large crowds that take over a two-mile section of the beach.
