NYPD officer found dead in his home in apparent suicide

NYPD cop Rory Dahill was found dead at his Manhattan apartment Wednesday
Sources told DailyMail.com the 34-year-old was discovered on his bed with a gunshot wound to his head and his firearm beside him 
Dahill, who joined the force in 2013, was found during a wellness check at his home after he failed to report to work at his stationhouse in Times Square 
His death marks the second officer suicide in the NYPD this month  
Weeks earlier on April 5, Deputy Inspector Denis Mullaney, who commanded the Queens 107th precinct, shot himself inside his police vehicle in Queens
Mullaney had called another precinct official to say he was suicidal, but pulled the trigger before they could locate him
