Among the prizes are: 19 Notice Nature Bingo-style task cards developed by partners, four accompanying pocket guide ID books, and thousands of other prizes and monetary sponsorships.
Lakeland and Wapiti regional libraries will oversee the prize distribution and provide cards to anyone wanting to participate. Local school divisions are lending support to print and distribute the cards to their students.
School Community Councils are contributing to the cost of Notice Nature toolkits distributed to families in participating schools. Also credited is support from RMs, cities, towns, villages, and First Nations.
“It is exciting to work on an initiative that we know meaningfully supports our shared vision of: An environment where all life has access to clean, safe water. Notice Nature represents our communities widespread commitment to youth engagement, land stewardship, and education. A website had been developed www.noticenature.ca where anyone can download one or all of the cards, and get outside, look up, look around and notice nature. This would not have been possible without the generous support of our Silver Sponsors: Global Institute for Water Security, Affinity Credit Union, SGI, and Ag in Motion. Stay tuned at #NoticeNatureSK to see what students discover or to enter to win more prizes!”
