North Canton Council OKs major capital projects, including road work

KEY ACTION: Approved the city soliciting and accepting bids for capital projects budgeted at more than $50,000. 
DISCUSSION: This year, North Canton is advertising for bids for large projects at the beginning of the year. Council approved projects budgeted at $50,000 and higher in one piece of legislation, rather than approving them throughout the year.
Those projects include:
$150,000 for renovations at City Hall
$60,000 for the 50th Street SE project
$70,000 for the Portage corridor project
$600,000 to add an additional lane to Charlotte Street NW
$1.06 million for the North Main Street resurfacing project
$50,000 for sealant for the Price Park walking path
