Live timing will be available, and coverage will begin at 10 a.m., on ESPNU. The women’s 6k will start at 10:20 a.m., and Fearghal Curtin will compete in the men’s 10k at 11:10 a.m. The Seminoles punched their fifth-straight ticket to nationals after securing the second automatic qualifying spot out of the South Region on Nov. 11. Led by three all-region performances, FSU finished second at the NCAA South Region Championships with a total of 88 points. Emmy Van den Berg led the way, finishing in sixth place (19:47.70) followed by Alyson Churchill (19.59.70) in 11th and Agnes McTighe in 14th (20:02.80). Van den Berg has emerged as the leader for the Noles in the postseason, having secured a 13th-place finish at the ACC Championships ahead of McTighe in 18th, to capture All-ACC honors. The week 7 USTFCCCA national poll was released on Tuesday, with the women ranking 26th. “We are ready for this,” FSU women’s distance coach Baylee Mires said. “They’ve run tough courses all season. It will be hard, but it’s hard for everyone. Everyone has to run the same course on the same day. They’re ready and I’m really excited to see them do it, “We’re coming in ranked 26th,” Mires added. “ I think the goal would be to place top 20 in the country which would be incredible not only for me in my first year, but for this group of ladies.” Fearghal Curtin was awarded a spot in the men’s 10k after finishing in sixth place at regionals on Friday with a time of 29:30.00. This will be his second NCAAs after qualifying in 2021 while representing Charleston Southern. Curtin has led the Seminoles in every race this season, including two race wins at the Covered Bridge Open and against Tennessee. Both victories earned his ACC Performer of the Week. “I’m really excited for Fearghal,” FSU head coach Bob Braman said. “He’s peaking at the right time and his skills match up with this tough course. He’s got a legitimate chance at All-American honors.” The top 40 runners in each race will capture All-American honors.
