Tallahassee, Fla. – The Florida State baseball team (15-28) will host Mercer (28-17) for a three-game series this weekend at Dick Howser Stadium. Friday night’s game will start at 6:00 p.m. with Saturday’s game slated for 3:00 p.m. and Sunday’s match-up at 1:00 p.m. All three games this weekend will be streamed live on ACCNX. Fans in Tallahassee can listen on WFLA 100.7 FM or around the country through TuneIn or the FSU Gameday app.

After a tough loss to No. 4 Florida Tuesday night, where FSU scored a season-high five runs in the first inning, the Noles are looking ahead to their first home matchup of May against Mercer.
Sophomore Jackson Baumeister is set to make his 12th start of the season for game one of the series against Mercer on Friday night. Last weekend, Baumeister struck out nine batters in 6.0 innings, as he threw 106 pitches on the mound.
Conner Whittaker will start for the Noles in Saturday’s contest for his sixth of the season. Whittaker pitched for 3.1 innings, where he struck out two batters, last weekend against Notre Dame.
Sophomore Jaime Ferrer continues to lead the FSU offense with a .343 batting average through forty-three games. Against Notre Dame, Ferrer recorded three doubles throughout the weekend, bringing his total to the team-best 19. He now leads FSU with 37 RBI and 18 multi-hit games.
Also on offense, Cam Smith tied a school record after hitting two triples Tuesday night against Florida, making him the ninth player in school history with multiple triples in a game. He now leads FSU with four triples, is second with 11 home runs and is the first Nole since Dylan Busby in 2016 with at least four triples and 10 home runs in a season.
