NLC intervenes in KAROTA, tricycle riders' row over N100 levy – Punch Newspapers

 The Kano State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress on Tuesday said it had opened dialogue channel between striking tricycle riders and the Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA) over the imposition of daily payment of N100 levy on the operators.
The tricycle operators on Monday embarked on a warning strike to protest against the daily levy by the state government.
At a news conference, the state NLC Chairman, Kabiru Minjibir, described the situation as disturbing, saying many residents were forced to walk to their respective destinations, seek an alternative means of transport or remain at home.
