Good morning! Here is today’s summary from Nigerian Newspapers:
1. Thousands of youths, women and leaders of Yoruba, yesterday, staged a protest in some streets of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, demanding for Oduduwa Republic. The protesters were led by a Yoruba group, “Ilana Omo Oodua”, clamoring for self determination.
2. Following an alleged plan by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria to deploy 5,000 of its vigilante to the South East to protect herders in the zone, the IPOB has warned the association to steer clear from Igbo land, just as it has threatened to deploy its outfit, the ESN to the North. IPOB gave the warning in a statement by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful.
