New Marion charter high school could open with ninth grade for 2022-23

A newly named charter school company that operates Ocali Charter Middle School announced plans recently to add a high school campus, beginning with ninth grade in the 2022-23 school year.
Teecy Matthews, the executive director of what is now called Clear Choice Academies, Inc., said the organization's board of directors is looking for property to house the middle school this fall and the high school in August 2022.
Ocali Charter Middle School’s 159 students in grades 6-8 and 22 employees are currently housed in several storefronts in the Maricamp Square shopping center, 3233 SE Maricamp Road. The new school will be called Ocali Charter High School.
