The News Journal » New garbage truck, bids on Gordon Hill sidewalk project

The Corbin City Commission voted unanimously to approve the lease of a new city garbage truck through Enterprise Fleet Management at a Feb. 16 special called meeting.
Public Works Director Gary Kelly had requested a new garbage truck during the commission’s Dec. 21 meeting.
“We were going to bid it out, but it would take probably 10 months to find a truck and build it to our specs,” said Marlon Sams, Corbin City Manager. “Enterprise Fleet worked with another company that had some garbage trucks and they just came in and fixed up the truck suited to our needs.”
Enterprise Fleet Management is the same group the city uses for police cars.
