New Family Resource Center opens in Muncie
MUNCIE, Ind. — Delaware County is home to a new Family Resource Center, which will provide a variety of services, from non-perishable meal kits to peer recovery coaches, with the goal of strengthening local families.
Located at 905 S. Walnut St., the center is a collaboration involving various community partners, including Future Choices, Ross Community Center, Eastern Indiana Works, A Better Life Briana’s Hope, Chances and Services for Youth, Muncie Community Schools, Purdue Extension and Community Partners and others.
The Delaware County Family Resource Center is part of the Strengthening Indiana Families (SIF) Project, which is funded by a five-year Community Collaborations grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Children’s Bureau to implement four family resource centers in Indiana.
