Your editorial claims the government is right to balance the interests of rural producers and the environment (“Koalas must not pay the price for political peace”, March 10).
What nonsense; there are way too many farmers. The country produces three times the amount of food we need at the expense of waterways and native species. Prioritise the environment. If the excess farmers won’t get off the land, nationalise them.
