MUMBAI: A three-month-old puppy was found beheaded in Dahisar area. Animal activists backed by Mumbai Animal Association (MAA) have lodged an FIR against unknown persons at Dahisar police station.
"A local animal feeder, Priya M, had noticed the torso of the dead pup behind Samaj Kalyan hall road, near Jari Mari gardens, Anand Nagar, Dahisar (east). A sharp weapon like a knife has been used in this crime. FIR was lodged on Sunday," said Saurabh Edwankar of MAA.
The local animal welfare worker, Priya, said: "We work day and night taking care of the local community animals, and also feeding them out of compassion. Hence, it feels sickening to see that someone can actually behead a mute puppy."
