Multiple Starbucks stores in Seattle to test reusable cup program

In an effort to cut down on single-use cups and give consumers a greener choice, Starbucks has started to roll out their long-awaited reusable cups, testing the new "Borrow A Cup" program at five Seattle stores until May 31.

Customers will have the option to order their hot or cold beverage in the company's newly designed reusable cups at participating stores, paying a $1 refundable deposit for their cup. Customers can then return to cup to the store's contactless kiosk, scanning the cup using the Starbucks App to receive a $1 credit and 10 bonus stars for future purchases.
