Multi-million Weymouth Gateway plans will bring 'investment and jobs'

Councillor Richard Nickinson has backed the Weymouth Gateway development.
COUNCILLORS and local business figures have thrown their support behind the proposed retail park plans at the Weymouth Gateway site, which were today being decided by planning bosses.
Various figures across the political spectrum have backed the plans ahead of today's planning committee, stating the development will create hundreds of jobs, boost the local economy and lead to further investment into Weymouth.
Councillor Richard Nickinson, Conservative Group Leader on Weymouth Town Council, noted he did not understand why Weymouth Town Council opposed the plans and their views do not 'reflect the majority view of Weymouth residents.'
