Take that for what you will. As for experience in filling the shoes of commander in chief, it is always a big deal whether someone who has never held the job before is up to, even someone as experienced as Vice President harris. So these things were hearing, including a lot of endorsements and backing for her matter right now. It didnt cohere into a logical point and ended with a meandering statement, a lot of people deed, theyre not coming back, we want people to live. Thats an okay statement, but its not a policy. You combine it with the debate, theres two different policies. And watching it play out today, i felt like it was a sportscast. When it comes to zelenskyy specifically, you saw Vice President harris standing there, firmly supporting ukraine, committing to support them if she is elected into the highest office in the land. That contrast is something we can fact check against what we saw trump do, holding up, threatening to hold up weapons and aid in exchange for dirt on a political opponent, or taking private meetings with putin, kicking out all the state of so he can do that. Thats not what harris is about. Shes emphasizing the true Security Strategy behind this decision to continue to back ukraine. Thats something that i think will really sit in the minds of voters. When we have though debate, did you seeing her in this role, all those headlines was soandso is president ial, Vice President harris was president ial, recommitting the support for ukraine. In contrast with what we know about Donald Trump, remembering that relationship with ukraine is what led to one of his impeachments back in 2018, 2019. She said yesterday and today, im going to be half and tough and make sure our national security is better than anything. But national security relies on economic security. Stock market is up, wages are up, jobs are up, right . Gdp growth is up, but prices are still high and people are still hurting. What shes said in a very clear way yesterday, in this country, talent is equally distributed, clearly, but opportunity is not. If you remember what it was like, but my question for you is about the politics here. Right now trump is still 20 more trusted On Immigration than here. Why is that . I would say two things. Every day that the Vice President has been in this race she has beaten him. She has moved ahead and closed the gap. She will do it On Immigration. Shes going to the border tomorrow. I dont think i need to remind you our anyone else once again, we negotiated a border bill, the tougher ever been negotiated that Senator Lankford led, and the president and Vice President were in favor of that. The only reason why that bill failed is because Donald Trump wanted to use that as a political switch. He put himself, again, over the Safety And Security of the people. The more you tell that story, we can also be a nation that has a good legal immigration plan. We have to get this done. This has been Going On for 40 years, Ronald Reagan suppose to it. The last speech that Ronald Reagan game, it was a great speech, the importance have been a great policy. Reagan was taking about asylum and refugees. Since were talking politics, youre a pro and a vet, where do you come up that trump is way ahead if theyre tied no most of the Swing State polls. I look at the real clear politics polls, because all have methodology errors, but when i compare where the polls are where they were today, versus 2020, and go back to 2016, both of those elections were Razor Thin, obviously ended up on either side of which candidate came out on top. If shes underperforming by 5 nationally, and 3 to 5 in those Ballots Ground states, and those were Razor Thin elections, it tells me his lead is much larger than what the polls are capturing. I understand the argument youre making. Then theres these tariffs. Hes talking about tariffs like this is the winning issue. I think thats about contested or debated, but take a listen. I understand the politics of confronting corporate employers who are laying off too many people. I understand that, if it depends, how do we know when 100 means is 00 or it doesnt . I do want to say im not with the campaign right now, so i dont think for the president , but hes going to put himself in the strongest Negotiation Position for the american people, for the american worker. If one of our trading partners, whether its an adversary or an ally, is treating us unfairly, they dont want to negotiate, hes going to use that threat to bring them to the table. If they adopt come to the table, he might actually dos it to force them to the table so we can have a fair deal for american workers and american products. When were dealing with adver sale situation, like with china, they need to know theyre going to face thinks tariffs, and for the companies using chinese products, either onshore that products, or friendshore it to a country that doesnt face that kind of tariff threat.
