Fianna Fáil Councillor Andrea McKevitt submitted the motion at the local authority's meeting this monring.
An attempt to postpone the deadline for submissions on the draft Louth County Development until the end of March, has failed.
If adopted as it currently stands, it would significantly restrict one off rural housing.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Andrea McKevitt had tabled a notice of motion on the issue at the local authority’s monthly meeting this morning, – saying in light of the Covid-19 restrictions it was aimed at giving citizens in Louth the right to meet and discuss the impacts of the new proposals.
