ABERDEEN, Miss. (WTVA) - WTVA 9 News has obtained more information regarding a mistrial in a Monroe County murder case.
Bryan Lyons was scheduled to go to trial in April for the death of Teresa Ewing.
Investigators said Ewing disappeared in 2013 and her body was found 19 days later.
Lyons was charged in her death in 2016.
In April, after a jury had been empaneled to hear the case, the judge declared a mistrial before testimony began.
In an order signed with the court and obtained by WTVA 9 News, the judge said prosecutors and the defense attorney reached an agreement on the presentation of some evidence without calling witnesses to authenticate it.
