In times like these, residents can light a candle and join in a virtual Walpole Community Observance for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The community observance will be broadcast on Walpole Cable starting on Monday, Jan. 18, and will also be available afterward for on-demand viewing.
The observance is organized by the Walpole Peace and Justice Group and co-sponsored by Epiphany Parish, United Church in Walpole, Union Congregational Church, Action Together Walpole, Multicultural Book Initiative, Turning Point Recovery Center, Walpole and Foxborough METCO Program and Walpole Media TV. The program will include readings by members and clergy of our community, readings by METCO families, songs, and reflections by Ben Barrett, Shantae Holms, Philip Czachorowski, and Savina Martin, Massachusetts Coordinator of the Poor People’s Campaign.
