The Walpole MLK observances will be held on zoom rather than in person

Community Content In times like these, light a candle for MLK and join in a virtual Walpole Community Observance for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The community observance will be broadcast on Walpole Cable starting on Monday, Jan. 18, and will also be available afterward for on-demand viewing. Go to www.walpolemedia.tv  to see the schedule or the link for on-demand streaming. The program includes readings by members and clergy of our community, readings by METCO families, songs, and reflections by Ben Barrett, Shantae Holms, Philip Czachorowski, and Savina Martin, Massachusetts Coordinator of the Poor People’s Campaign. Walpole has a tradition of beginning our town’s MLK observance with a candlelight vigil on the town common. This year everyone is invited to participate in that vigil, all across Walpole, by lighting a candle in their home. Place a single candle (electric please) in one of your front windows, starting at sunset on Monday January 18, to commemorate the dreams
