Michigan middle school science teacher charged with sexually assaulting student

INKSTER, MI – A former Inkster middle school science teacher has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault against a minor student, authorities announced today.
Ted Mark Anderson, 61, of Detroit, is charged with six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, which involves penetration, of a female student from fall 2007 through 2010, according to a news release from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. The charge carries a penalty of up to life in prison.
The victim is now an adult, but her identity is not being released. She was in the sixth grade at Thomas Gist Academy in Inkster when the assaults began, the release said.
