Fourth Detroit man charged in Warren woman s slaying
A 21-year-old Detroit has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a Warren woman, the Wayne County Prosecutor s Office said Thursday.
Bennie James Lane is charged with one count of accessory after the fact, one count of carrying a concealed weapon and one count of lying to the police during a violent crime investigation.
He is the fourth person to be charged in the Feb. 22 slaying of the 17-year-old victim. The others are Jarvis Nathaniel Fisher II, 18; Patrick White, 17, and Jayshun White, 18, all of Detroit.
Authorities allege Fisher shot the woman, who was in the back seat of a car near Clayburn and Majestic in Detroit with two other people, about 6 p.m. Fisher is also accused of assaulting the other occupants of the car, a 19-year-old Hazel Park man and another 17-year-old Warren woman, during a robbery.

Charles Feiler, 50, has been charged with five counts of assault with intent to murder, five counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, one count of second-degree child abuse, one count of felon in possession, five counts of felonious assault and 17 counts of felony firearm.
The incident occurred at a residence in the 9800 block of Appoline Street in Detroit at approximately 11:20 p.m. on April 14.
Police say an argument between Feiler and the 25-year-old Detroit mother of the victim escalated leading to Feiler firing a rifle three times, striking the child on the left side of her back.
Michigan middle school science teacher charged with sexually assaulting student

INKSTER, MI – A former Inkster middle school science teacher has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault against a minor student, authorities announced today.
Ted Mark Anderson, 61, of Detroit, is charged with six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, which involves penetration, of a female student from fall 2007 through 2010, according to a news release from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. The charge carries a penalty of up to life in prison.
The victim is now an adult, but her identity is not being released. She was in the sixth grade at Thomas Gist Academy in Inkster when the assaults began, the release said.
