A central Pennsylvania man has been charged for his actions at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.
Barton Wade Shively of Mechanicsburg was arrested Tuesday by the U.S. Department of Justice on charges of civil disorder, forcible assault of a government employee, entering restricted grounds and violent entry.
The charges came after Shively turned himself in to the FBI's Harrisburg office on Jan. 14 after seeing photos of himself circulating on the news.
Shively is the second central Pa. resident to be charged for their actions on Jan. 6. Riley June Williams was arrested and charged with violent entry or disorderly conduct, and entering the restricted space of the U.S. Capitol. She also is accused of stealing a computer used by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, according to court records.
