Flanked by an American television star, a beloved WA entertainer and an English director, the biggest Perthonality of them all, Premier Mark McGowan, made a glitzy government announcement on the waterfront at Victoria Quay – plans for a Labor donor to build a $100 million film studio.
But one day before his official election campaign launch and in the middle of caretaker mode, Mr McGowan unintentionally dropped the facade. The one where he acts like he is not heading towards a crushing win on March 13.
Several sound stages would be built at Victoria Quay in Fremantle as part of a new $100 million studio.
