Mayo Clinic is remodeling the main north-south corridor at its Southside campus at a cost of $1.9 million.
The city issued a permit April 15 for Batson-Cook Co. to upgrade the first-floor corridor at the 4500 San Pablo Road S. campus.
“We will be modifying the finishes on Mayo’s 1st floor main North/South corridor for patients and visitors to match the new Mayo Atrium that just opened,” Mayo spokesman Kevin Punsky said by email March 10.
That includes walls, floors, the ceiling and lighting.
The north corridor construction will be completed in the summer, said Punksy, interim director of media relations.
When that is completed, work moves to the south corridor for completion in October.
