No one was seriously injured.
Ohio State Highway Patrol Lt. Leo Shirkey said a 32-year-old Massillon man was driving at 90 mph on I-77 near Portage Street NW and wouldn't stop for authorities. He pulled off the interstate at Shuffel Street NW and kept going.
Shirkey said the driver caused a couple of crashes as he continued to evade authorities, but none of them resulted in life-threatening injuries.
Township police joined state troopers and the patrol's aviation unit, catching up to the driver after he abandoned the sport utility vehicle, which had been reported stolen from Texas, and fled on foot.
