MARLBORO - Police Chief Peter Pezzullo is praising his officers and the local first aid squad after they saved the life of a one-year-old child in the township on Monday.
The incident took place about 11:15 p.m. when police received a frantic 911 call from a township resident who said his baby daughter was choking and could not breathe, police Capt. Steve Levy said in a statement on Thursday night.
Officers from the Marlboro Police Department and medics from the Marlboro Township First Aid Squad were on scene in minutes, Levey said.
“They evaluated the girl and realized she was unresponsive, gasping for air and turning blue,” Levy said. “Immediately, they started to perform CPR.”
