Mandatory FASTag deadline extended; Here's how to buy one online

FASTags are issued by 22 certified banks through Point-of-Sale (PoS) at National Highway toll plazas and select bank branches. They are also available on e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart etc

New Delhi: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) had made it mandatory for all vehicles to use FASTag from 1 January 2021. However, considering the fact that many are yet to buy a FASTag and are making cash payments at toll plazas, the ministry has now decided to extend the deadline till 15 February, 2021. This means that all vehicle owners will now have time till 15 February to get a FASTag affixed.
