A 46-year-old man has been jailed for life for the murder of his estranged wife's partner almost two years ago.
Anthony Paget of Carnlough Road, Cabra in Dublin, stabbed Aidan McMenamy seven times after his victim became jealous and attacked him at Clinch's Court, North Strand Road, Dublin on 19 July, 2019.
He pleaded guilty to manslaughter but a jury found him guilty of murder.
Mr McMenamy's family told the court today they would never recover and never forgive Paget for what he had done.
Paget wrote a letter of apology, which was read out in court, and said he was deeply sorry and would try to use his sentence to pray that the family get some closure.
