A man was taken into custody Tuesday by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, accused in connection to an overdose death. According to the sheriff's office, Joseph Carrol, 42, has been charged with first-degree murder and transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. He will be held without bond.Allyson Bennett, 40, was previously charged in the same case.Officials say a Flagler County Grand Jury found sufficient probable cause to believe that Carrol conspired with Bennett to supply a mixture of heroin and fentanyl to Michael Joseph Burnett, who died at the age of 31. “I want to thank the grand jury and my team for their excellent work in securing this indictment,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “This was a tragic case ... Let this be a warning to drug dealers, keep your poison out of Flagler County.”
