Exhibition expected to boost travel, tourism in South Florida
The exhibition will present a selection of 192 artifacts from royal tombs, many of which have never been seen out of Peru. The artifacts in the exhibition are on loan from Museo Larco in Lima, Peru, and Museo de Sitio Manuel Chávez Ballón in Aguas Calientes, Peru.
"It's really incredible to see what started as a dream come to life," said Andrés Álvarez Calderón, president of Museo Larco.
The exhibition, which will make the first stop of its international tour on Oct. 16, will encompass the entire museum. During their visit to the exhibition, at one of the immersive galleries, guests will be "above the clouds of the Andes mountains, looking down at Machu Picchu," said Anthony Tann, president and chairman of World Heritage Exhibitions.
