Ludington Area Schools Participate in National Bike to School Day

May 5 is National Bike to School Day, and students at Ludington Area Schools are joining their peers nationwide this morning to bike to school.
On average, 50,000 students from over 250 schools in Michigan take part in this event, as well.
This first National Bike to School Day started in 2012 as a way to kick off the month of May, which is National Bike Month. Since then, the event has grown in popularity.
This is the first year Ludington Area Schools are participating. Students from local elementary schools and OJ DeJonge Middle School will bike from Oriole Football field to their schools around 7:30.
