One of the four women to file Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaints against LSU Health Shreveport and Chancellor Dr. G.E. Ghali has been placed on administrative leave.
Dr. Jennifer Woerner, an associate professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery, has been placed on administrative leave after formal complaints from unnamed medical residents were filed against her. Woerner and the three other women held a news conference last week to defend their filing of EEOC complaints and to urge a leadership change at the medical school.
Allison Jones, the attornery representing Woerner and the three other women, questioned the timing of the complaints.
