Lompoc Unified School District Creates Equity Committee

LUSD is accepting applications for the superintendent’s equity committee through Feb. 12 for those who want to be considered. Applicants are asked to complete an application using the following Google form: https://forms.gle/Qrna7drC3mxRj37r5.
The first meeting is tentatively scheduled for 3-5 p.m. March 1.
“The committee will be made of 14-18 people and will have three primary objectives,” said Brian Jaramillo, LUSD executive director. Jaramillo said the three objectives will be:
Review recommendations from the LUSD Equity Study; create an action plan based on the recommendations and oversee implementation of the plan; and review and analyze data on a quarterly basis to follow up on the study and explore additional areas of concern.
