Clemson outfielder Alia Logoleo went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and RBIs to lead the Tigers to victory in a 4-1 defeat over North Carolina at McWhorter Stadium Thursday evening. The Tigers combined for nine hits from five different players. Clemson righty ace Valerie Cagle (14-3) secured the win in the circle after going the distance for the 14th time this season, while striking out 12 Tar Heel batters.
With the win, Clemson improved to 23-4 on the season and 14-4 in ACC play, while North Carolina fell to 10-9 overall and 6-4 in league games.
