PORT CLINTON - The vaccine has reached a surplus stage for the Ottawa County Health Department.
Jerry Bingham, the county's health commissioner, said he is asking the state to stop sending vaccines as the county has reached a point where it has too many shots and not enough arms.
Vaccine clinics slowing down
"The vaccine clinics have come to a halt," Bingham said. "We are struggling to find arms. We slowly asked for a reduction and then this week I said 'no more.'"
The rate of Ohioans getting the vaccine has come to a screeching halt as some forgo the vaccine all together for personal or health reasons, while others simply do not trust it.
