ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Earlier this week, President Biden lifted the annual quota on the number of refugees who can be admitted into the United States through September, from the previous administration’s 15,000 to now 62,500.
With Rochester as a popular spot for refugees finding a new home, News10NBC spoke with some local organizations that help with their transition and their reaction to the president's announcement.
Here in Rochester, the Catholic Family Center offers a refugee resettlement program where they help equip newly-arrived refugees with services and resources needed to settle into their new life here in America.
