Health chiefs are set to discuss the coronavirus situation in Middlesbrough as infection rates remain stubbornly high.
And on Friday, it was confirmed by the council that a case of the South African variant of covid-19 had been detected in the town.
A pop-up testing centre was set up in a car park at the Parkway shopping centre and any adult that lives in Coulby Newham or Marton - or regular visitors to the centre - is strongly encouraged to go for a test.
