February 24, 2021LITTLETON — Littleton Superintendent William Hart announced the final candidates for two SAU 84 administrative positions at last week's school board meeting. Both finalists were selected internally after an extensive review process.
Lakeway Elementary Assistant Principal Mark Fiorentino will become Littleton's new middle and high school principal in July, filling the role left vacant by Jennifer Carbonneau. In turn, SAU 84 Curriculum Coordinator Melanie Harkless will step into Fiorentino's elementary school role.
The selection process began in October 2020 with the development of a comprehensive posting for the position. Nearly 30 professionals applied for the middle and high school principal position. A screening committee of students, parents, staff, teachers, administrators and school board members reviewed applications and selected five semi-finalists.
