Let's Celebrate International Tennessee Whiskey Day With Some More News
Not the least of which is that it’s International Tennessee Whiskey Day!

Say what you will about the past session of the state legislature — at least they accomplished one semi-constructive thing: By a vote of 26-1, the Senate declared May 21 to be “International Tennessee Whiskey Day.” While I’m not completely sure how a state legislature can declare an “International” anything, at least they were able to come together to recognize the importance of distilling as an industry in Tennessee. (Except for Republican Sen. Joey Henley of Hohenwald, who must still be bitter about failing to exempt tampons from the grocery component of the sales tax holiday in 2020, so he voted against the resolution.)
