Tweet Share Say what you will about the past session of the state legislature â at least they accomplished one semi-constructive thing: By a vote of 26-1, the Senate declared May 21 to be âInternational Tennessee Whiskey Day.â While Iâm not completely sure how a state legislature can declare an âInternationalâ anything, at least they were able to come together to recognize the importance of distilling as an industry in Tennessee. (Except for Republican Sen. Joey Henley of Hohenwald, who must still be bitter about failing to exempt tampons from the grocery component of the sales tax holiday in 2020, so he voted against the resolution.) ....
Aug. 5, 1940-Dec. 12, 2020 COTTONWOOD Services for Adrian C. Golberg, 80, of Cottonwood, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall. A walk-through visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Cottonwood. Mask and social distancing requirements will be observed at all services. A recording of the service will be available next week at www.horvathfuneralservice.com. Adrian died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at the Avera Granite Falls Hospital. Adrian Carl Golberg was born Aug. 5, 1940, in Valley City, ND, to Carl and Eva (Grady) Golberg. Adrian began school at the age of four, because his mother was the teacher at a one room schoolhouse, and she brought him to work with her. He graduated from Valley City High School in 1957, at the age of 16. Adrian attended Valley City State College for one year before transferring to the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks ....
