Cindy Rodgers expected to receive her first dose of COVID-19 vaccine Thursday morning at the LECOM Center for Health and Aging.
Instead, the 71-year-old retired North East School District teacher was among 375 people to be vaccinated at the Erie Bayfront Convention Center.
"I went to the LECOM Center and there was a sign on the door saying to go to the Convention Center," Rodgers said moments after getting her vaccine. "So I hot-footed it down here."
LECOM Health and the Erie County Department of Health moved Thursday's vaccinations to the Bayfront Convention Center as a test run for larger events that will be held in the future.
