Late pass leads to familiar refrain in Beargrease 120 as Schouweiler repeats

FINLAND — The Schouweiler family’s domination of the Beargrease 120 continued Monday outside the Trestle Inn, but it wasn’t without a challenge.
Erin Schouweiler passed Michael Bestgen on the race’s final leg, with 21 miles to go, on her way to repeating as race champion. In doing so, she joined mother-in-law Martha Schouweiler to give the family six of the past seven wins in the race.
