Laredo council looking into combining city and county tax offices

During a special call meeting on Tuesday, Laredo City Council voted to approve a feasibility study into combining the city and county tax offices.
In November, Laredo voters overwhelmingly approved eight proposed amendments to the City Charter, effectively instituting a filing fee for future candidates, regulating the timing of the mayor’s veto and raising the minimum qualifications for a city manager, among other changes.
